The Website Build stage of the project is the home straight. By this time we’ve agreed the functionality and the design and now is the time for our Web developers to pull everything together.
During this stage the developers will work from the framework and design that we’ve agreed with you. They’ll build in all of the functionality you’ve asked for – content management, fancy animations, blogs, social networking integration, banking integration – and they’ll make sure it displays the same for all of your visitors regardless of their choice of browser, PC or Mac.
Once the build is complete we’ll make sure it’s free from errors, that the functionality works seamlessly, that the code is validated to standards and that it’s exactly what we agreed to build for you. Once it’s passed our rigorous testing then we’ll hand over a version to you to check and test before we agree to put the site live.
The go-live process will depend upon your needs and your customers needs. If this is a new site then it’s usually less complicated. If it’s a replacement site then there’s probably more to schedule in. However, we’ve done this loads of times and we’ve seen it all before. All you need to think about is when you want the new site to be unveiled and we’ll see to the rest.
